Salman Khan makes Katrina cry over breakup

MUMBAI: After Salman Khan announced his split from Katrina Kaif, the Bollywood belle got whiff of the news at a press conference and tried her best to hold back her tears, but eventually the curious reporters got the best of the actress who had to run out of the room to hide her emotions.

Katrina thought she was attending a press conference to talk about her new endorsement deal for Etihad Airways. Instead she found herself at the center of a Q&A session with snooping reporters who only wanted to know about her recent breakup with Salman!

According to a local newspaper, Salman told reporters during a recent interview that he broke up with Katrina but that they are still friends. "I have broken up with Katrina. We were friends then for everybody, we are friends now. A relationship breaks if it gets stretched in different directions, or one person does not grow, or the other person takes a different path, or there is some misunderstanding or they have grown out of love," Sallu said.

And at the start of Kat's press conference for Etihad Airways everything went well, but soon the popular actress was overcome with emotions when asked about her personal life.

"If Salman Khan has said he's single, I've also said I'm single. I am single. But beyond that I don't think I need to give too much of details," Kat said. "If Salman says we've split, it must be true," she added and walked out of the press conference shortly after.

Now the buzz is Katrina started to cry backstage and vowed to make changes to what reporters are allowed to ask during press conferences! "What happened was very, very disturbing. I had the entire congregation of media persons questioning me about a statement made by Salman. If for all these years I haven't spoken about the relationship, why should I do so now? I won't be bullied into talking about my personal life. I am going to take contractual action to ensure limits are not crossed at these events," Katrina said according to the newspaper.

Farah Khan believes in keeping her artistes happy. She promised her Tees Maar Khan heroine, Katrina Kaif a special treat if she managed to maintain a slender waist for her raunchy number, Sheila Ki Jawani. Yesterday, Khan fulfilled Kat's craving to have Cinnabons.

Says the director, "Katrina has worked extremely hard on the song Sheila Ki Jawani over the last couple of weeks. I had told her I'd give her whatever treat she wanted after the song was done.

She wanted Cinnabons so yesterday I got three dozen in assorted flavours on the sets after we packed up. The day before wrap-up, she finished shooting for the song, went for a press endorsement in the evening and then went to the gym at midnight and worked out."

Farah is impressed with Kat's professionalism and dedication. "She had to wear a low waisted, half-saree for the song so for the last two weeks she cut down on carbohydrates, didn't have any sweets, went to the gym regularly and followed a strict diet.

She did whatever I told her to do. Now that the song is over, the poor girl can eat to her heart's content. Her performance in this song is going to shock people."

Incidentally, Shah Rukh had gone on a diet and almost starved for Om Shanti Om and Dard-e-Disco. A defensive Farah states, "I don't ask my stars to starve. I just tell them that this is what you have to look like and these are your costume references.

Like Madhuri will be remembered for Ek Do Teen, Kat will be remembered for Sheila Ki Jawani. She's looking her best! It is like a tribute to Jumma Chumma from Hum. Akshay is also in the song."

Katrina confirms breaking up with Salman

This shocking revelation came after Salman Khan’s declaration that he has broken up with Katrina Kaif. She declares that she is single. "Yes, I am single. But beyond that I don''t think I need to give too much of details...," Katrina said here last night after being named the international brand ambassador of Etihad Airways.

"Sometimes it''s hard enough to take decisions, professional sometimes but mostly personal and wherever the decisions that you have to take, it''s very difficult to take them and if you have to make them in front of everybody, whether it''s media, or the public or the world, I think that''s a little bit more than what I can handle," Katrina said.

The actress thinks that commitment changes with situation.

"If you commit to something, you must stand by. But if you commit to something and the situation changes, then perhaps the commitment also changes," she said.

After dating Salman for six years, she cut ties with Salman. Sallu wants to start his family but Kat wants to build up her career. Currently, Kat is rumored to be dating Ranbir Kapoor and Salman Khan seeing Kat’s lok-alike Zarine Khan.

I’m not getting married says Genelia D’Souza

Genelia D’Souza is upset with rumours of her wedding with actor Riteish Deshmukh. The actress says she isn’t getting married to anyone for the time being.

“To set the record straight, I am not getting married to anyone. I have always maintained that my personal life is not something I would like to discuss. But this time since it was something that would affect my family, I decided to take a stand,” saidGenelia in a statement released here Tuesday.

“My films and my brands are my priority as of now and I’d like to keep it that way. And if I do decide to settle down, you will hear it from me when as and when it happens,” she added.

A tabloid had reported the romance brewed between Genelia and Riteish on the sets of Tujhe Meri Kasam (2003) and that they are planning to get married this year.

“It’s rather funny that we have to read about the progress in our lives in the press before we even know it ourselves. I wonder how news like that can be put out without any confirmation from the people whose lives are being discussed,” she said.

After the failure of two big budget and big starrer studded films i.e., Kites and Raavan, Reliance Big Pictures has bought the rights of Shah Rukh Khan starrer “Don2” from excel entertainment for a whopping amount of 125 crores and if you think 125 crores is  a huge amount then you might be amazed to learns that the other film of King Khan “Ra.one” which comes from his home production was bought by Eros International for an jaw dropping amount of 175 crores. It is the huge fan following of Bollywood Superstar Shah Rukh Khan and his audience which is compelling the distributors to pay such a huge amount for the  king khan’s films. Time will tell whether this 300 crores will multiply into profit or again the big budget films will get bombed at the box office like the other two predecessors.
